Our corner of Yorkshire
Open landscapes, close communities.
Rural life in North Yorkshire moves with the land and the seasons. Field paths, dry-stone walls and wide skies connect farms, market towns and small stone villages. It is a place shaped by working countryside, local knowledge and people who take the time to look after what lives alongside them.
Living well with natureHedgerows, gardens and uncultivated corners provide food and shelter for pollinators and other wildlife. Our honey-bee pages are one practical way Rural Terrier helps people protect a small but vital part of this landscape.
Welcome
Life in the countryside.
Rural Terrier is a small corner of North Yorkshire with a growing collection of useful local resources. Our first is dedicated to protecting honey bees and helping people around Malton when a swarm appears.
